Ganymede, the perfume of a dreamlike reality

For this new work, the duo has not changed, nor has the creative osmosis between Marc-Antoine Barrois and Quentin Bisch, but destiny lies elsewhere. Creating an elegant and unexpected harmony around a quartet of tangerine, violet, immortelle and suede, the two fellow artists have dreamed of this new planet: Ganymede, the rocky satellite of Jupiter discovered in 1610 by Galileo, which is at the same time luminous and covered in sea salt. It acquired its name from Greek mythology: a young man, Ganymede, was kidnapped by the gods who had been so captivated by his beauty that they offered him immortality.

Composed by perfumer Quentin Bisch, Ganymede once again makes use of the suede leather notes that had made B683 a beautiful classic. This time, however, the artists emancipated themselves from traditional codes to take us to another place, towards a luminous and fluid elegance. Those leather notes become softer, gaining lightness and delicacy upon contact with the fragrance of violet. The smell of tangerine provides all its liveliness and acidic essence. The latter gives the tone and verticality of the fragrance from the first moment. However, in opposition, immortelle is its counterpoint and elevates the perfumed harmony with its double-sided fragrance, sometimes mineral, sometimes salty. The entire composition plays with contrasts and oppositions.

MARC-ANTOINE BARROIS perfumes are the result of the friendship between the French couturier and artistic director Marc-Antoine Barrois and the perfumer Quentin Bisch. Since 2016, their creative bond has resulted in exceptional perfumes with a unique and memorable signature. The exquisite quality of these fragrances offer remarkable permanence on the skin and trail.
