Oud, a phenomenal aroma

The Oud fragrance from the avant-garde brand Maison Francis Kurkdjian was launched in 2012. It belongs to the Woody olfactory family and was made by Kurkdjian himself. It is an eau de parfum that is based on quite precious oud wood from Laos. A piece of wood imagined on the outskirts of a marble palace with golden engravings under a sky full of stars.

A sensual conversation about the skin that opens with delicious notes of Saffron and Philippine Elemi Gum that offer a sparkle and an elusive golden presence. A heart impregnated with Moroccan cedar wood and a base composed of chords of Oud from Laos and Patchouli from Singapore, which generates a spectacular combination of east and west.

Francis Kurkdjian is a contemporary perfumer, who became famous at the age of 26 for designing the Le Male scent for Jean Paul Gaultier, one of the best-selling perfumes in the world. This was followed by more than forty additional creations for the world's leading perfume companies. Kurkdjian paved the way for a new generation of perfumes. In 2001 he won the François Coty Prize in recognition of his professional career. He co-founded his own luxury fragrance house Maison Francis Kurkdjian with his business partner Marc Chaya in 2009 in Paris.
