Akkad, the precious amber of the first emperor
Akkad is a luminous amber perfume, mystical but also sensual, an extension of the profane pleasures of the ancient tyrants, the exhalation of sacred oils, the spicy scent of furs, silk fabrics...
. Top notes: mandarin and bergamot from Italy, essence of sage Ssilvestre
. Heart notes: essence of cardamom, elemi, frankincense, styrax
. Base notes: amber and labdanum cistus, vanilla and patchouli
Delphine Thierry has imagined for this composition a spicy amber note that is also luminous. To this she has opposed amber shades, mystical, suggesting the smoke of incense in ancient temples.
Akkad amber opens with citrus and aromatic notes of mandarin and bergamot, which enriches the wild sage, also called sacred herb for its euphoriant and balancing powers. The heart unfolds rich notes of spicy balsam, frankincense and styrax, evocative of the ancient Orient, which refreshes elemi, fresh and soothing spice and enlivens cardamom.
The base, with its two vegetal and animalic amber, is articulated around the woody richness of patchouli, which softens a sensual vanilla.
