Francis Kurkdjian believes that the main idea behind the Cologne forte fragrances is to convey freshness through light-induced sensations. Aqua Universalis Cologne forte is the notion of whiteness taken to the extreme, a pure breath of fresh air, the sensation, not the scent, of cleanliness. Francis Kurkdjian continues the saga of his Aqua fragrances with the Cologne forte collection. Three windows open on landscapes that invite evasion, three invitations to travel to a destination imbued with light, colors and, of course, freshness. Freshness, provided mainly by bergamot, the fundamental ingredient of traditional eau de cologne, plays a leading role in these new creations. Different ingredients and accords are modulated without distorting the original inspiration.
Calabrian bergamot and the sweetness of the white musk accord, intertwine with an effervescent wave of diaphanous white flowers, such as orange jasmine (murraya paniculata) and sweet pea (lathyrus odoratus). Aqua Universalis Cologne forte embodies the joy of whiteness, brightness and purity of a breath of fresh air and enveloping.
Olfactory family: musk, citrus.
Ingredients: Italian bergamot essence, Bulgarian rose essence, white flower accord (orange jasmine, sweet pea), white musk accord.
Initially extracted from Tibetan musk deer, natural musk has been banned in perfumery since 1973. Synthetic molecules designed to replace it appeared in the late 19th century, so today there is a wide selection of musky notes with an olfactory palette ranging from fruity to woody to animalic facets.
Musks are very persistent and relatively low-volatile base notes. They have been used extensively in soaps and fabric softeners, and are commonly referred to as white musks because they evoke the scent of clean, soft, fluffy laundry, and recall a sense of tenderness and comfort suitable for all types of fragrances. With their inimitable softness, much appreciated by the general public, musky notes are present today in the vast majority of women's and men's perfumes.
Olfactory description: Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian citron, bouquet of white flowers (lily of the valley, syringa), light and musky woods
